New Da Nang to Ba Na Hills Natural Day Trip
Ba Na Hill is located 1,480 meters above sea level, in the Truong Son mountain range. Two hours by road from Danang to Ba Na Hills is home to a former French resort built in the early 1920s, which once boasted 200 villas, restaurants, and clubs.
Its temperate climate, unspoiled forest, and spectacular views over the South China Sea and the Lao mountain range made Ba Na a popular place to retreat for the French and wealthy Vietnamese.
Today, the area still attracts locals and tourists alike; however, a four-wheel drive is required to reach Ba Na as the roads are rough. You would not be sorry for the effort taken to get to this tranquil part of Vietnam.
Cool hideaway close to Da Nang with stunning panoramic views, a one-day excursion from Da Nang or Hoi An. Also known as the Dalat of Central Vietnam, this former French hill station enjoys a high altitude while being only 20km from the sea.

Perched 1,500m high on a mountain, a Ba Na hill resort, inherited from the French, Ba Na Hill, provides a welcome change from the coast.
The site was first developed by the French in the 1920s, who escaped the summer heat for its cool, mountain air. Given the weather, you may have to content yourself with a more atmospheric scene of mountain weather in mist. But while it’s raining on the lower slopes, the summit may be above the clouds, enjoying brilliant sunshine.
Tour Itinerary
Morning:
8.00 Pick up at the hotel in Da Nang. Transfer to Ba Na (35km) and take the Cable Car, which gains 5 world scores to Ba Na hills station. Stop at By Night station to visit Vong Nguyet hills, Linh Ung pagoda, and the Old Villas of the French.
Continue moving up by cable car to the Nui Chua Mountain – the top of Ba Na range, visiting Nginh Phong tower, Le Nim Villas, Orchid Garden… Have lunch at the Orchid restaurant.
Afternoon:
Free for joining games in Fantasy Park – the third biggest indoor games zone in Vietnam, with a series of interesting games: 4 – 5D film, skier, The death race, dinosaur park… (2 hours).
15:00 Return to Da Nang city along the Red Beach Bay. Stop at Central Specialties Super Market for Shopping. End the tour at your hotel.
